ISAE 3402 Type 1: Assurance Report on Controls at a Service Organization
GCO has received an ISAE3402 Type 1 report, which can be consulted by the clients that make use of the services provided by GCO. This report provides reasonable assurance on the design of controls related to the control objectives over the ‘Event registration process’ for processing customers transactions as of August 4th, 2010. The ‘event registration process’ is supported by GCO’s custom made Event Management System (EMS).
With this report, our clients receive valuable information regarding GCO's controls and an independent assessment of whether the controls were placed in operation, and suitably designed, to safeguard a reliable event registration process.
Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16, Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization, was issued by the AICPA in April 2010 to effectively replace the well known SAS 70. SSAE 16 was drafted and issued with the intention and purpose of updating the US service organization reporting standard so that it mirrors and complies with the new international service organization reporting standard – ISAE 3402.
