ISAE 3402 Certification
With great celebration, GCO accepted the ISAE 3402 Certificate presented by PricewaterhouseCoopers on the 18th August 2010. This coveted stamp of professionalism verifies GCO IT systems are secure and available.
Crisis Management
On 03 July 2010, GCO in co-operation with Docleaf, simulated a complex crisis situation, in which tests were conducted not only of the processes described in the various scenarios, but also of the authorities and responsibilities of the parties involved. Police, ambulances, national and international media and supernumeraries have contributed in a most professional manner, in order to come as close as possible to reality. In addition, hundreds of telephone calls were received in a very short period of time from concerned relatives and friends. All activities were closely followed by specialised psychologists.
On the basis of this training programme and the resulting evaluations, the scenarios have been optimised. Such crisis simulations will be organised annually.
